About Me
I grew up in Brazil and moved to the United States in 2003. In Brazil we have a lively, passionate culture that includes strong connections with family and friends. Touching and hugging people is an important part of daily life.
In Brazil I worked for 25 years in the travel business, owning my own agency for 12 years. An added benefit was the opportunity to travel around the globe and experience new people and cultures. In addition to this work I studied reiki, pressure point massage and waxing. I also love languages and studied Spanish, Portuguese and German.
When I moved to the U.S. I knew that I wanted a fresh start and a new direction. I decided to go to school and obtain my esthetician and nail license which would allow me to do what I loved the most…touching and working closely with people.
I began my business, Rida’s Skincare, in January 2005 and have never looked back. Although I have a passion for skincare, my specialty is Brazilian waxing. Not everyone can say that they get their waxing with a Brazilian accent! I pride myself on providing clients with honest information and outstanding customer service.
In addition to my business, I am involved in working with our local retirement community, and I volunteer time with various organizations in the community. I also enjoy ongoing educational opportunities in my field and travel to classes and seminars each year.
